JOIN OUR COMMUNITY
At St Mary's of Easington Village, we believe in building a community that is centered around love, compassion, and support. We welcome people from all walks of life to join us and become a part of our family. Whether you are looking for spiritual guidance, a place to make friends, or simply a warm and welcoming environment, we have something for you. See our services below or view our events to get involved.

During our current interregnum, our church welcomes different priests every week to lead our services. On the first Sunday of each month, our services are lay-led, creating a diverse and engaging worship experience. We value this period of transition as an opportunity to explore various perspectives while maintaining our commitment to spiritual growth and community involvement.
VISION STATEMENT
St Mary the Virgin Easington: A church united by our infectious love of God.

We are a growing church in faith, number and our sense of vision. Parts of our church building date back to the Saxon times and so we are privileged to be continuing in the faithful prayer of God's people which has extended across the generations. We hope to be a church that truly cares for its community, and a one that is not fearful in spreading the good news of Jesus in word and in action.

In 2013 we put together our vision statement which you can read below:

We, the people of St Mary’s, are determined to be the following:

Rooted in faith
We want to be people who are rooted in Christ so that we can know God’s love and discern his will. We want to keep growing in a faith and a practice of prayer that permeates all areas of our lives as we seek to follow Jesus and serve God’s creation.

Diverse and united
We want to be a loving family, inclusive of every generation, who are welcoming and accepting of people with diverse styles and diverse ideas. We want to be united in Christ whilst encouraging each member to be on a journey of creativity, adventure and an openness to change that is true to who they are.

Sharing together in all the work of the church
We want to be a faith community where as many people as possible are enabled to use their gifts and play a full part in the shared life and ministry of the church. Working constructively together, we want to provide opportunities for people to be fed and challenged in their faith, to learn and to grow.

Outward looking
We want to be generous people entwined with our community and alert to its needs. We want to live out our faith by putting love into action in response to community needs.

Mission minded
We want to be a church that has mission at its heart and is full of people of all ages who desire to follow Jesus. We want to confidently tell the Good News of Jesus in attractive and accessible ways in the reality of life’s hardships and joys.

Joyful and positive
We want to be people who unashamedly enjoy God, worship and the shared life of the church family; we want to be inspiring, enthusiastic and passionate in all we do. We want to be a church that aims to do all things well, and where integrity, honesty, sincerity and commitment are valued.
